Its main beaches are: Olas Altas, Playa Norte, Playa Sábalo, Cerritos Beach, Dolphin Beach and Stone Island Beach.

The Malecon from Mazatlán is considered one of the longest in the world, has a length of 21 kilometrs or so, along which you can find everything from cliffs, monuments, gazebos old buildings, hotels. The Mazatlán malecon is divided into nine sections Muelle Puntilla Ferry Pier, Lighthouse, Centennial, Olas Altas, Claussen, Avenida del mar, Camarón Sábalo, Sánalo Cerritos and Cerritos Nuevo Mazatlán.

Each year the city celebrates Carnival on the same dates as in the rest of the world: forty days before Easter.
